Here's Who You Support With Taxes

Before you go filling up the comment box with racial slurs, know that all will be removed.  Speak your mind, but name-calling is not going to solve anything.  One case of someone of color is not representative of that entire race.  Not all blacks are ghetto, not all whites are stuck-up idiots.  Hispanics don't all work in fields, and not every Asian is uber-smart. 

This is not a racial issue.  It is a criminal issue, and fraud comes in all shapes, sizes, colors and economics.  The rich steal as much as the poor, they just aren't caught as often.  Crime is never black nor white, it is streaked with color that mars this country with a distorted rainbow cast over our red, white and blue skies. 

It is not a political issue either.  President Obama did not create this problem - Duane Brooks Jr is not a product of President Obama's administration.  He is obviously older than that, so get off your racist high horse and look at this for what it is - someone who skates through life on our tax dollars.  This has been going on for decades.  Student aid, rent subsidies, government assistance for children, food stamps.  The worst of any of them is disability payouts. 

It is tragic how easily that has become a scam.  I am diabetic, and can barely walk most days because of an injury to my back/leg, but I work - I may be limited in my work, but I do not receive any kind of aid because, as my doctor said, "Anyone who can still move is capable of some kind of work."  Too many people think a broken fingernail is cause enough to prevent them from earning a paycheck, or too many family members are being paid to raise their own blood. 

My husband has paid as much as fifty percent of his paychecks to taxes that go to everyone else, but little ever trickled down to us.  Our local police force has been cut to where they are no longer effective.  Our insurance has skyrocketed.  Our roads are garbage.  We don't get aid in any form from anyone, so what are we paying for?  We're paying for others to do their jobs, but they can't even manage that. 

I have lost long-standing friendships because I disagree with the way they live off of our government, and everyone else's paychecks.  That aid is not meant to keep kids in the latest video games, to pay for cars and vacations and pricey meals.  It is not meant to bail one out of a mistake of a marriage.  It's most certainly not meant to keep one from marrying because their significant other is named their 'caretaker' - marriage would kill that benefit. 

This may just be one case featured on Judge Judy's show, but these are actual cases that, while they get the 'star treatment' on television, it happenes in cities and counties and states all across the US. 

If the government would stop interfering in everyone's lives, we would be a richer country today.  Stop telling people what to eat, drink, when to wipe our own asses.  Frankly, the toilet paper in my bathroom is worth more than the paper the laws are written on.  The strong shall survive, and and those who don't, it's the Darwin Theory in effect. 

If our government would stop enabling our citizens by making us all more self-sufficient, we soud be a richer country today.  This requires our participation as Americans to report those crimes we see - we need to not turn a blind eye as we are so prone to doing. 

Let us take part in returning our nation to what it was by strengthening from within, not climbing on top of each other to bring ourselves down.
